Sand Biome Animal Locations

Checked

The Sand biome is an arid desert region of sand dunes, sandstone canyons, cactus clusters, and ancient golden tomb ruins. Builder listings document 38 distinct animal entries in this desert territory. Progression involves sweeping open dunes, completing item feeding quests, clicking tomb chests, and locating hidden underground chambers.

This guide details all 38 confirmed Sand biome animals, outlines a desert route, and covers confirmed puzzle tasks. Track your progress on /animals or compare zone routes on /biomes.

The loop for a biome run

Use this structured circuit to search the desert without getting turned around:

  1. Sweep the low dune edges and desert scrub to pick up open wildlife like Kangaroo, Meerkat, and Zebra.
  2. Inspect cactus patches across the sands to gather 6 cactus flowers for feeding tasks.
  3. Search sandstone rock arches and canyon walls for elevated perches.
  4. Enter the golden tomb ruins to inspect the interior burial chamber.
  5. Locate the hidden desert chamber and claim the Sand Biome Vault gem.

Tip: Keep base desert species for synthesis on /wiki. Lava Dragon merges with Brown Bear to produce Magma Bear (Mythic), and Cheetah merges with Phoenix to create Blaze Cheetah (OG).

Sand gates, quests and chests

Animal What to do Notes
Basilisk Interact with chest inside golden tomb Click chest 25 times
Camel Deliver cactus flowers Feed 6 cactus flowers

These two entries are the only interactive quest counters and click-box chests confirmed for the Sand biome in [240] build records. Other desert finds, like Lava Dragon inside its secret chamber, rely on locating hidden entrances rather than completing interaction counters.

What is not confirmed for Sand

While all 38 names are verified on the published Sand roster, 35 entries are marked Not confirmed yet because the precise hiding spot has no confirmed public source. These animals are verified Sand members on builder lists, but exact coordinate waypoints remain unverified.

Warning on search overlaps: If you are searching for Jerboa, Horned Lizard, Vulture, or an Axolotl, that query matches the other game with the same name. In the 280 build there is no Jungle biome, and those old-game species do not exist here.

How to read your count in game

Monitor your progress with standard interface indicators:

  • The top HUD displays your progress, formatted as Found: x/240 in the [240] build record.
  • Touching an undiscovered animal prompts a popup with name, rarity, and a Morph! button.
  • Discovered entries enter your Index. For missing slots, consult /guides/last-animals.

If you want to check a spot against real footage, the list source is YulyOnRoblox's Sand biome run. Timestamps in that description mark the start of each group, not each animal.
