Rebirth in Find The Animals

Checked

Rebirth is the endgame reset system in Find The Animals. It is designed for players who have explored all seven biomes, unlocked the merge machine, and assembled the vast majority of available entries. Instead of granting endless incremental stat multipliers, activating rebirth marks a specific collection milestone and awards an exclusive top-tier morph.

To understand where its reward fits among rarity tiers, see the /wiki page. For puzzle conditions needed to build your total count, check /guides/puzzles-and-chests.

What rebirth is

In Find The Animals, rebirth is accessed through an on-screen menu interface with a dedicated progression bar. As you register animals across the biomes and through the merge machine, this bar fills toward a fixed completion target.

When the bar reaches full capacity, the Rebirth action becomes active. Clicking Rebirth triggers a screen-wide celebratory banner reading: REBIRTH 1 / Chinese Dragon unlocked!

This action logs your first completed loop of the scavenger hunt and places the Chinese Dragon morph into your collection.

The requirement

The exact requirement to trigger rebirth depends on the version build you are playing:

  • The [240] record: In documentation recorded for the 240-animal build, the rebirth progress bar required exactly 216 registered animals out of 240 to fill completely (216/216). Players did not need 100% of every single animal in the game to perform their first rebirth. Reaching 216 unlocked the button.
  • The [280] build: The current version of Find The Animals features 280 animals on its title card. The exact rebirth threshold for the 280 build is not confirmed. Sources have not verified whether the bar now requires an equivalent percentage (such as 252/280) or a different target count.

Until official documentation or verified logs publish the exact number, treat the bar as a late-game milestone requiring you to find almost all accessible animals across the map.

What you get

Triggering rebirth awards a single confirmed prize:

  • Animal: Chinese Dragon
  • Rarity Tier: OG
  • Category: Milestone reward morph

Chinese Dragon is one of only two confirmed reward morphs in the game, alongside Golden Dragon (awarded by the Biome Vault 6/6 mechanism). It carries the highest rarity tier (OG) and features a distinct serpentine dragon model that you can equip like any other collected morph.

In this game, rebirth does not grant passive currency interest or numerical stat boosts. Its confirmed reward is strictly the Chinese Dragon morph and your rebirth tier counter incrementing to 1.

What carries over

A central question for players approaching rebirth is what happens to their collected animals, game passes, and merge progress after hitting the button.

This is unconfirmed. Authoritative game documentation does not explicitly detail whether your Index roster completely wipes to zero, whether previously discovered morphs remain accessible in a legacy tab, or whether only game passes and badges persist.

Because this mechanic is not confirmed in source records, do not assume or speculate. If you are close to completing the full 280 roster or want to experiment with high-tier merges like Megalodon and Blaze Cheetah, complete those entries on /merges first before committing to the rebirth action.

If the bar will not fill

If your progress bar stalls just short of completion, check these common progression blockers in order:

  1. Unvisited Biome Vault: Have you collected the six regional gems across Grass, Treehouse, Sand, Farm, Snow, and Cave to activate Biome Vault 6/6 and receive Golden Dragon?
  2. Untouched Merge Station: Did you unlock the merge machine at 70 finds? There are 13 confirmed hybrid animals on /merges, including Crocodrake, Magma Bear, and Leviathan, each adding one to your total count.
  3. Unfinished Interactive Puzzles: Have you entered the keypad code 5684 for Pegasus, clicked the multi-click chests (Basilisk, Feathered Serpent, Crystal Dragon), fed the items for Bison and Camel, fired the cannon for Walrus, or activated the 2 Friends plate for Minotaur?
  4. Index Clues: Open your Index and inspect the one-line hint text for your missing entries. For a full breakdown of end-game troubleshooting, consult /guides/last-animals.
